Lucchese Boot Company of San Antonio was founded in 1883. By the late 1970s, Sam Lucchese, with 300 workers, manufactured 40 pairs of boots a day. Today, Lucchese’s custom calfskin boots have a starting price tag of nearly $500.

My Ariats have been through some harsh working conditions for over ten years and are still holding up relatively well. As I stated earlier, my Lucchese dress boots are thirty years old and continue to look like they did when I bought them, but they aren’t often worn and never worked in.
